Can a guy get checked and treated for trichomoniasis? |
I watched a video on trichomoniasis and it said guys could carry this. I don't want to be the carrier of anything! Men are more often NOT going to have symptoms of this disease. Yes, it is an STD, but a rather rare one by perspective to the others. I've seen about 3 cases in the past 15 years. However, if you've had unprotected sex with a variety of females, then you might want to be screened just in case. If not...then you have little to worry about. I got trich, I think, from a partner while using a condom. So it can't be that rare. The reason why I say "I think" is because I was out camping and was sitting around in warm water where there were mass numbers of the public also sitting there. 4 days later, bam, had it and had not had sex for a month. Yes you can have it, yes you can get checked for it, and yes it is treatable. Don't worry - there are far worse things you could have. yes guys should get checked and treated for trich.... they don't get symptoms but they are carriers.... if your partner gets treated and you don't... you will only re-infect her. |
