HOW I GOT TRICHOMONIASIS? |
I have this problem, my doctor said i have a std called trichomoniasis. Now i have only been with my boyfriend and him only and i read the male can only carry it for two weeks, so i need to know if he cheated on me with in the past several weeks? He swears he has not cheated, so did i just get this out of the air??? so confused and need to clear this up. thank you I have read that the man can only carry this std for two weeks- so that's not true?? I really need to know. I work in a clinic and the only way I know that our clients are getting "trich" is from unprotected sex. It is interesting that women are the ones who show signs, but men usually don't. This is a tricky one as it can be transmitted other way besides intercourse. There was an outbreak of it in the county where I live and it was determined that the one thing that most of the patients had in common was that they all had been swimming in a lake around here that summer. If someone you know has it and you use the same washcloth or wear each others clothes that touch the genital area you can get it. It is a parasite and it crawls into the urethra. So, there is a possibility that your boyfriend is telling the truth. And, no if he has had it, it wouldn't go away on it's own. He would have to take medication to get rid of it. Planned Parenthood's website is very informative about this and other STD's. If you have questions still, go look it up on there. men can carry this for a long time without knowing it. it could be very confusing but if he had different relationships before u he could of got it then and gave it to you without knowing he had it Trichomoniasis is an infection with a one-cell parasite spread by sexual contact. So it was definitely sexual contact that you got it from. someones lying. you need to talk to your dr about it more tho before you freak on your bf |
