Can amoxcillin be use to treat trichomoniasis? No. Specifc treatment for trichomoniasis would include; oral metronidozole (cases of resistance have been reported) , tinidazole or ornidazole. Uhm, Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum anti-biotic, if it is a sort of heavy infection then no it will only stem it's growth temporarily and give the condition a better resistance to anti-biotics, I dont know what the illness that your describing is. But if a doctor wouldn't of given you amoxicillin it is very likely it will not be the solution. No, you need oral Metronidozol (Flagyl). |
