Violence against women isn't a law, per se, rather it's a crime.

Violence aganst women has existed since the inception of H. sapience ca. 160k yrs. ago.

Laws are generally enacted to limit and prosecute volent offenders rather than promote violence, so this is somewhat ambiguous.

If there's a law to enhance violence against women in Australia, I'd be rather stunned by this (as it's unprecedented).
