Can guys do YOGA???????????

i just joined this gym about 3 weeks ago and i am trying to decide if i want to do yoga because i know it is great for military and martial art and MMA and so i wanted to start it but i dont want to look gay doing it would people think i am?also since i will probably be one of the only guys in the class if i do it i figure i might as well try to get a girl why i am there so the question is what would i go up and say to her after a class?

and no i do not only want to do it to get a girl /girls but because it would be great for my flexibility but i figure since thewre might be girls my age (16-17) there i might as well try to get with one

Check out Diamond Dallas Page's Yoga for Regular Guys or YRG as he calls it. He said the same thing, he wouldn't be caught dead doing yoga. But he found out about all the benefits it gives your body so he added in some mixed martial arts movements and other exercises to make it fun for guys and girls. They sell DVD's on ebay but I do the onlne version at www.GreatDrills.com He has a lot of guys in the military doing it too. Good Luck

Exercise is for men and women, no matter if it's weight training or pilates.

Afraid of looking "gay" for me translates into "fear of looking like a woman" which is insulting to both gays and woman in one fell swoop.

Be a real man and do some Yoga and not give a sh-it about what others think.

You need to rethink things in life.

Guys and girls both do yoga. If your so scared, maybe you should have your own private yoga class. Just buy the yoga excercise books off the internet. When youy approach a girl just talk about yoga. Here are some starter questions:

How long have you been taking yoga classes?

How did you become interested in yoga?
